My name is Laura Glascock. I was born in Martinsburg and raised in Morgan County, West Virginia. My husband and I have been farming in Morgan County for over 30 years. We both come from generations of agricultural roots. I graduated from Berkeley Springs High School and immediately went into the workforce. I worked at Bechtel Corporation and learned computer skills. I graduated from James Rumsey Technical Institute with a Horticultural Certificate and began faming with my future husband purchasing our first greenhouse. We have learned from experience, trial and error, and with help from many farming family, friends and organizations. We participate with NRCS programs and were the 2011 Conservation Farmer of the Year for the State of WV. Conservation, preservation and sustainable farming practices are very important to us.
